Temporary voice

Join-to-create voice channels that members control themselves.

Overview

When a member joins your creator channel, Lumabot instantly creates a personal voice channel and moves them into it. When everyone leaves, the channel is deleted.

Owners manage their channel from a control panel posted inside it, or with commands.

What you get

  • Custom default name (with variables such as the member name) and default user limit.
  • Control panel with buttons for name, limit, lock, hide, kick, allowed and forbidden lists.
  • You choose which controls members are allowed to use.
  • Mandatory and forbidden roles to decide who can create a channel.
  • Several configurations per server, each with its own creator channel and category.
  • Automatic cleanup of empty channels.

Setting it up

  1. Run /tempvoc setup (Manage Channels required).
  2. Pick the creator voice channel and the category where new channels will appear.
  3. Set the default name and limit, then toggle the controls members may use.
  4. Optionally add mandatory or forbidden roles, then enable the configuration.

Commands

Every command works as a slash command and as a prefix command. The default prefix is +, so /casino balance is also +casino balance. Aliases only work with the prefix.

Good to know

  • Owner commands only work for the member who owns a temporary channel.

Premium and limits

  • Configurations per server: 5 by default, 20 with Premium, 50 on a Custom bot.
  • The allowed, forbidden, hide and unhide controls require Premium.
